The developer and manufacturer of customized connectors, uwe electronic GmbH, Unterhaching, presents a compact 11 pin modular connector with 1mm pitch for scaleable, high density next-generation hearing aid solutions.
According to the supplier, it is possible to obtain a short compact design for low profile, aesthetically pleasing product design with high performance and high density thanks to the use of miniature spring contact probes. The short signal path lengths of less than 6mm and the special “bias plunger design” enable low, stable resistance and – e.g. for higher current applications – up to 5A current handling. The spring force amounts to 0,26N per contact at a working travel of 0,5mm. The press ring at the receptacle enables a simple, cost efficient assembly and the 'compress and wipe' movement of bayonet style provides a self-clean system during the contacting cycle.
