Spring-loaded contact pins are the heart of modern test technology – and our core business since 1994. Whether for the in-circuit test (ICT) of assembled printed circuit boards, the burn-in of semiconductor components, or the charging connection of portable devices: we supply the right contacts, the corresponding receptacles and – where needed – the complete custom solution.
rom decades of experience we know the typical pitfalls in design: contact force, current-carrying capacity, travel (stroke), service life, coating selection and pitch. Our task is to work together with you to find the contacting solution that works reliably in real-world use – not just on the datasheet.

Frequently Asked Questions on Contact Technology
What is a spring-loaded contact pin? A spring-loaded contact pin (also called a POGO pin) is a contact element in which a plunger inside a barrel is pressed against a mating part by a spring with a defined force. This creates a repeatable, gas-tight electrical connection – ideal for test and plug connections.
Which spring contacts are suitable for which application? The choice depends on pitch, current-carrying capacity, travel, required service life and the surface to be contacted. For PCB testing, different contacts are usually used than for the charging connection of a mobile device. We will advise you on the right selection.
What is four-wire technology? In four-wire technology (Kelvin contacting), the current and voltage paths are routed separately in order to eliminate the contact-transition resistances from the measurement. It is the standard for precise resistance measurements, for example on low-resistance components.
Do you also offer customer-specific custom solutions? Yes. We develop special plugs, special sockets and customer-specific contacting solutions based on proven spring-contact technology. This shortens development time and reduces the technical risk compared with a completely new design.
Are the products RoHS-compliant? All products in the Test and Contact Technology area comply with the RoHS Directive.
