Responsibility for the environment, our products, and our business partners is not a marketing topic for us—it is part of our everyday decision-making. Whether in procurement, logistics, IT, or in our relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees, sustainability influences the way we work. On this page, we show what we are actually doing—without embellishment and without making promises we cannot keep.

Climate Protection: Our Forest in Nicaragua

For many years, we have supported a long-term reforestation project in Nicaragua together with the non-profit foundation PRIMAKLIMA. To date, more than 23,000 trees have been planted in the name of uwe electronic. These trees contribute to long-term CO₂ sequestration while creating valuable new habitats for wildlife. We view this project as an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time donation, and we are pleased to see the forest continue to grow year after year.

Resource Conservation in Daily Operations

In our day-to-day business, we focus on the responsible use of energy, materials, and time—wherever we can make a meaningful impact as a medium-sized company.

Paperless Office. We operate largely digitally. Documents, records, and internal processes are managed electronically whenever possible.
Electronic Invoicing. Incoming and outgoing invoices are processed digitally, reducing paper consumption, postal services, and administrative effort.
Remote Work. Our employees can work flexibly from home, helping to reduce commuting and associated CO₂ emissions.
Energy-Efficient LED Lighting. At our Unterhaching facility, we use energy-efficient LED lighting throughout our offices and workspaces.

Product Responsibility and Compliance

As a supplier to the electronics industry, we understand that product sustainability begins with regulatory compliance—and extends well beyond it.

RoHS – Our products comply with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive for electrical and electronic equipment.
REACH – We provide information regarding Substances of Very High Concern (SVHCs) in accordance with the REACH Regulation.
CMRT (Conflict Minerals Reporting Template) – We provide conflict minerals (3TG) declarations for all products.
PFAS – For a large portion of our product portfolio, we can provide information regarding PFAS-related requirements. For specific inquiries, we conduct product-specific reviews and provide written responses.

Declarations of conformity are available upon request. We also closely monitor ongoing regulatory developments, including the proposed PFAS restrictions and future additions to the REACH candidate list.

Reliable processes are the foundation for effectively meeting sustainability requirements. Our quality management system is certified according to ISO 9001.

Supplier Questionnaires and CSR Information

Many of our customers—particularly in the automotive, medical technology, and semiconductor industries—conduct supplier audits or request sustainability information through standardized questionnaires, such as EcoVadis assessments, third-party platforms, or proprietary CSR formats.
