Test Fixtures for Printed Circuit Boards

A test fixture provides the contacting between the test system and the assembly – reliably, repeatably and over many years. We have been building these fixtures since 1994 and supply the matching interface for every coupling to a test system. Just as often we supply the contacting alone: to customers who build their own fixtures and are looking for spring contacts that still measure reliably years later.

Mechanical test fixtures

Compact test fixtures for simple and medium test tasks that work without compressed air and can therefore be set up anywhere. They use universally interchangeable change head cassettes: the base frame stays in the test station, and only the change kit with the product-specific contacting is exchanged. This considerably reduces the cost per assembly variant.

The fixtures accept up to 840 transfer pins and work down to a minimum centre distance of 1.27 mm. In practice these fixtures have proven themselves over eight years of shift operation – a figure that says more about the design than any data sheet entry.

Change kits

There is a matching change kit for every fixture size. It holds the product-specific contacting and can be exchanged in seconds. Anyone testing several assembly variants therefore needs only one base frame and one change kit per variant.

Interfaces to your test system

A fixture is only as good as its coupling. We build the interfaces for the common in-circuit test systems and supply the matching transfers – as well as VG interfaces where the coupling is made via a connector strip.

Contacting is our core business

The difference between a fixture that lasts two years and one that lasts eight lies not in the frame but in the contacts. We build test fixtures from the same portfolio of spring contact probes that we have been supplying individually since 1994 – from standard contacts through high-current and Kelvin versions to contacts for centre distances below one millimetre.
