In high-frequency testing, the socket is part of the measurement: every impedance discontinuity in the signal path distorts the result. Our RF test sockets are therefore built in air-coaxial design – each signal contact runs in a coaxial structure with air as the dielectric and is matched to 50 Ω.
This allows bandwidths of up to 40 GHz, at pitches from 0.25 mm and for packages such as LGA, FBGA, QFN and WLCSP. The bandwidth achievable in a specific case depends on package, pitch and contact length:
Product Series
Package Type: 54WLCSP
Pitch: 0,3 mm
Characteristics: 3GHz Bandwidth, Air Coaxial Type
Package Type: 5LGA
Pitch: 0,5 mm
Characteristics: 25GHz Bandwidth, Air Coaxial Type
Package Type: 12QFN
Pitch: 0,35 mm
Characteristics: 15GHz Bandwidth, Air Coaxial Type
Package Type: 12QFN
Pitch: 0,35 mm
Characteristics: 15GHz Bandwidth, Air Coaxial Type
Package Type: 30QFN
Pitch: 0,60 mm
Characteristics: 20GHz Bandwidth, Air Coaxial Type
Package Type: 40QFN
Pitch: 0,60 mm

For applications beyond these bandwidths, our manufacturer LEENO reports measurements up to 110 GHz for fine-pitch probes – talk to us if your application reaches into that range.
An alternative for very high frequencies combined with low contact force is the elastomer test socket, which reaches 34 GHz at 0.35 mm pitch.
