Beschreibung

The battery probe UEBK-10742 is a slight variation of the model UEBK-10741. When looking at its dimensions only, this battery probe, with a total height of 9.47 mm, made up of 7.23 mm receptacle-height and 2.24 mm visible plunger-height, can be seen as identical to its sister-model. The according radiuses, with 0.57 mm for the moveable part and a slightly thicker 0.675 mm for the static part, also remain within a comparable frame. The major difference to the UEBK-10741 lies in the existence of a centrally inserted, vertical drill-hole of the diameter of 0.64 mm. It is a relic of the production process to enable more accessibility to the inside of the receptacle, when creating the fine golden coating by galvanization. From the mechanical point of view, the visible part of the spring-loaded contact-pin can be pressed into the receptacle over a distance of 1.27 mm, when applying a vertical force of 1.08 N onto it. With an increasing force, some additional 0.25 mm of the contact-head will also vanish inside the receptacle, resulting in a maximum spring deflection of 1.52 mm. At this state, a mere 0.72 mm of the nickel-silver-alloyed probe-head will remain visible over the receptacle, which itself consists of a fine beryllium-copper-alloy. In order of improvement of conductivity, both parts are covered with a thin layer of gold, in a final step. The spring is made of stainless steel. In terms of electrical properties, the UEBK-10742 provides a convincing 3.0 Ampere of rated current while holding a stable contact resistance of < 30 mΩ. The minimum size of the grid lies at 1.91 mm.
