Beschreibung

The battery probe, which is listed with the designation UEBK-10758 is mainly characterised by a, based on its total height almost central positioned flange ring. Moreover, the lower edge of the assembling aid is positioned 4.37 mm above the foot, while the upper edge lies 5.05 mm below the top of the battery probe. When considering its total height of 10.03 mm, the thickness of the flange ring results in a value of 0.51 mm. With a maximum horizontal diameter of 3.89 mm, the ring’s supporting surface can be regarded as comparably large, as it adds some comfort to the fixation- and setup-process during the montage of the probe on circuit-boards. Also, a stainless-steel-spring is embedded into the cylindrical receptacle, which itself has an outer diameter of 2.29 mm above the flange-ring, and only 2.03 mm below. In addition, both radiuses decrease slightly towards the two edges of the cylinder. On the bottom the receptacle ends in a central drill-hole of 0.51 mm in diameter. After a vertical distance of 2.53 mm the receptacle leads into an opening of 1.27 mm in diameter on its top. At this position, the pin-head is accurately positioned inside the opening as moveable component, and further down connected to the above mentioned spring-wire.


This moveable contact plunger is made of especially hardened beryllium-copper, and is plated with a fine layer of gold in order to enhance the piece’s capability of transferring signals and currents. It towers 2.62 mm above the ring-opening, while its maximum stroke is limited to only 2.29 mm. It is rather recommended to operate the battery probe with an average load of 1.75 N, which results in a stroke-distance of 1.52 mm. The material used to manufacture the cylindrical receptacle is a nickel-silver-alloy, and is, similarly to the plunger, covered with gold. The so given, comparably tiny contact-resistance of always less than 5 mΩ ensures a stable transfer of nominal 15 A of rated current. The respected minimum grid of operation lies at 4.45 mm.
