Beschreibung

This pin-shaped battery probe of type THT has a total height of 9.47 mm and is laid out in such a way, that it can easily be mounted onto printed circuit boards by pushing it into an adequate opening on the board. In order to facilitate its vertical positioning on such a conductor board, the UEBK-11054 is equipped with a spacing ring of the diameter of 1.54 mm, with its lower edge placed at a vertical height of 5.97 mm. Moreover, the spacing ring radially sticks out of the tubular receptacle by 0.17 mm. This results in the cylindrical receptacle having a diameter of 1.37 mm.

At its relaxed state, the spring-loaded contacting head projects an additional 2.24 mm beyond the 7.23 mm of the receptacle. For a nominal spring force of 0.63 N, the stainless steel spring, which is gently inserted into the receptacle, contracts over a distance of 1.27 mm. With higher force, the pin-head can be pushed further into the receptacle up to a limiting spring-contraction of 1.52 mm. Its outer diameter is always at 1.14 mm, but with the addition of being rounded at its tip in a flat manner, similar to the foot end of the receptacle. Regarding the materials, the hardened beryllium-copper-alloy of the entire contact-head piece dives into the receptacle made of nickel-silver. Both components are evenly covered with gold in a final step.

Its dimensions enable the battery probe to be utilised on a relatively small minimum grid of 1.91 mm. During operation, this batter probe transfers a constant current of around 10 Amperes, while having to overcome a comparably tiny internal contact resistance of less than 12 mΩ. Because of these properties, the UEBK-11054 can easily be used for apparatuses in the fields of medical technology, such as medicine-pumps and dental equipment. In addition, applications can be found in the areas of engineering and mobile technology, for example as closing contact or signal transfer unit.
