Beschreibung

With respect to its construction, the model UEBK-11267 shows quite some similarities to the battery probe with the label UEBK-11054. Here as well, the 2.24 mm of plunger head height plus the 7.23 mm of the receptacle add up to total height of 9.47 mm. The difference in diameter between those two pieces, more precisely 1.37 mm of the receptacle and 1.14 mm of the plunger, generate a horizontal, radial stage with strength of 0.115 mm. An obvious difference here lies in the, in this case missing of the spacing ring. Therefore, a certain flexibility of the vertical positioning is granted at the cost of an assembly aid, hence precision.

The materials used to manufacture both models are identical, as well. A hardened beryllium-copper-alloy marks the base material of the contact plunger. It is inserted into the central opening of the receptacle, which itself is made of a silver-nickel-alloy, and further down connected to the spring at the inside. The spring consists of stainless steel. In order to increase the conductibility, plunger and receptacle are evenly covered with a layer of gold.

When having a look at the electric properties, the main difference between UEBK-11267 and UEBK-11054 becomes visible. In direct comparison, an increased impedance of the first mentioned probe of > 30 mΩ leads to a decreased power transmission capacity of only 3 Amperes. Another varying characteristic here is a significantly heightened spring force. The force recommended, to trigger the spring-loaded contact-head, thus inducing a contraction of the spring of nominally 1.27 mm, lies at 1.99 Newton, making it significantly higher in direct comparison to its sister-model UEBK-11054. At maximum, a contraction of 1.52 mm can be achieved when increasing the force.
