The suspended battery probe UEBK-11552 stands for simple and robust design, solid stability, and total reliability during operation.
The battery probe inherits a “mighty” total length of 10.95 mm while having a maximum receptacle-diameter of 1.50 mm. Moreover, with 8.45 mm, the receptacle, which itself inhabits the centrally positioned stainless-steel spring-wire at its core, marks the gross portion of the entire height of this constructional element. The remaining 2.50 mm are being taken up by the clear height of the probe-head. Eventually, the maximum radius of the plunger, which is inserted into the receptacle, has a value of 0.62 mm. Its contact area is spread out in a spherical manner at the top of that plunger-head. At the base of the component, a drill hole of a diameter of 0.68 mm is concentrically embedded into the contacting receptacle. This is remnant of the galvanizing step during manufacturing. With these attributes, the UEBK-11552 is perfectly fit for applications in the areas of mechatronics and for the layout of control-units and -systems of machines.
When operating, a value of 1.85 mm as recommended travel should be taken into consideration, in order to ensure a smooth process. In this context, the plunger head should be initiated with a vertical force of approximately 1.2 Newton. In individual cases however, it is permissible to compress the plunger head further down to a maximum of 2.26 mm of travel. In terms of electric specifications, with a transported current of 10 Amperes while maintaining a nominal contact resistance less than 20 mΩ, the UEBK-11552 can be regarded as comparably well-equipped. An especially hardened beryllium-copper-alloy, used as base material of the contact-receptacle, and the unique nickel-silver-alloy that composes the plunger, as well as a highly precise clearance and a final gliding step are the major reasons for this incredible performance.
