Beschreibung

UEBK-12497 is another representative of spring-loaded battery probes which is favoured in applications of precision engineering. Its comparably short total height of 5.79 mm, as well as the slim 0.69 mm of average barrel-diameter predestines it for its utilisation in such applications that use an operation grid down to 1.27 mm. Due to the extremely base visible part of the spring-plunger of only 0.69 mm of height and a respective short nominal spring deflection of 0.51 mm, the UEBK-12497 has a comparably very quick reaction time. If required, the contact plunger can be entirely countersunk into the barrel. The head of the moveable part of the battery probe is spherically topped off and has a mean diameter of 0.51 mm.


For the assembly, at a height of 4.01 mm, a practical press-in ring with a max. radius of 0.42 mm is attached to the outside of the barrel. It guarantees a stable positioning on top of circuit boards.


The contacting barrel consists of a specially hardened nickel-silver-alloy, and acts as a guard rail for the stainless-steel-spring that lays centrally at its inside. At this point, the beryllium-copper spring-contact-plunger is connected to the spring and flexibly mounted in such a way, that only 0.26 mm Newton are necessary to perform a compression along its recommended working travel. In order to ensure an optimum transmission of signals, the plunger, the barrel and the spring are additionally plated with gold. This also contributes to a really low contact resistance of less than 20 mΩ when being operated at its typical electrical current of 5 Ampere.
